The group focuses on developing and fostering collaborations between multiple disciplines aimed at addressing public health challenges; and attain optimal health for humans, animals and the environment. It engages professionals from different disciplines such as human medicine, veterinary medicine, environmental health sciences, public health, academia, bioinformatics, public policy and humanities. Also, professionals from government agencies, research institutions and non-profit organizations. Members of the One Health WG may be based in Africa and other parts of the world. It is anticipated that the working group with support from the parent body, will secure funding to perform empirical research to refine decision making as activity progresses along the mission and vision of the Consortium.
